The Central Bank of Uruguay has been submitting gender biennial reports since 2011, having taken into account as of 2015 the specifications described in the Quality Model with Gender Equity promoted by the National Women's Institute of the Ministry of Social Development (INMUJERES-MIDES).

In the Strategic Planning process and as part of the 2017 Comprehensive Plan, the Institution defined the implementation of the Quality Model with Gender Equity in its Level 1 “Commitment”.

For this purpose, the corresponding Agreement between the Central Bank of Uruguay and the Ministry of Social Development was signed on June 2, 2017 and the Gender Equality Quality Committee was established by Resolution D / 176/2017

​On December 15, 2017 the Central Bank of Uruguay received from INMUJERES the recognition of the Certification corresponding to Level 1 ("Commitment") of the Quality Model with Gender Equity.
