Investment Advisors

Investment advisers are individuals or legal entities who professionally, and on a regular basis, advise third parties regarding investments, purchase or sale of money, precious metals or securities which are sold through public or non-public offerings, or address requests received from their customers by referring them to intermediaries based in the country or abroad.

These entities do not require prior authorization to operate but must be included in the Registry. See Register requirements (Art. 125 et seq RNMV).

Supervision of these entities is performed based on alerts (denouncements or on information obtained).

The role of protecting financial users is also performed by responding to inquiries and denouncements.
