State Participation Companies are commercial companies where government bodies, including autonomous entities, decentralized services and departmental governments or any public non-state person is the holder of shares or owns shares, regardless of the percentage in share capital.
These entities do not require prior authorization to operate but require to be listed in the Register. See requirements for entry in the Register (Art. 52 of the RNMV).
In these cases, supervision is limited to the information presented for registration.
See List of State Participation Companies included in the Register of the Superintendency of Financial Services.
